Jenna's birthday

We went to a small celebration for our friend Jenna's birthday yesterday.  We love to go to her and Timmy's house because their friends and family are all so nice and welcoming.

Jenna and Tim have two Boston Terriers.  Willis was featured in the photo shoot linked above and Daphne is a new addition to the family.  Our friend Jen and her wife Marina brought their two pugs too!  M&J did OK with them until they started eating chips out of their hands.  There was much crying...

Jenna and Jackson were having a nice moment on the floor until Jenna decided to trip Jackson and make him cry (just kidding but he did trip over her leg and fall down)...

Her mommy instincts kicked in and he was better in no time.  I can't wait for Jenna to be a mommy.

Playing at the park

There is a playground in the middle of  a neighborhood near us.  My mom and I decided to take the kids there the other day since they have been cooped up so much with me being sick.  We ended up walking.  It's not a pretty walk as it's along a very major 4 lane road but it's just too close to justify driving.  Jackson was pretty tired while we were there so he wasn't Mr. Smiley but Madison had a great time.

The one smile I managed out of him

Look at her wild and crazy red hair!!  I never in a million years dreamed I'd have a red head and what a wonderful surprise it is.
In this picture you can see she is only missing one tooth on the bottom.  I think she's missing two on the top but I'm not completely sure.

When did Jackson learn to wrestle?

Last weekend up at Mike and Kristen's Jackson started tackling Raphael out of nowhere.  I'm talking mouth open, jumping on, attacking him.  We all just sat around it and watched in amazement.

Hanging in the yard

The kids have learned to kick the soccer ball.  It's so cute!

Gia's cookout

Gia has a cookout every year so last weekend (a week ago) we packed up our swimmy stuff and went over.  I remember last year it was hectic juggling M&J as infants and keeping them happy and fed and clean.  This year was hectic in a whole new way.  I brought them in the pool myself  in their floaty things.  Jackson wasn't wanting to be in it.  He kept trying to lunge out of it.  Madison was happy in hers so I got Jackson out of his and held him.  He continued to try to lunge into the water.  He obviously just doesn't understand the fact that he would sink if I just let him go.  So he was pretty unhappy with the fact that he was being contained.  We ended up getting them out because it was just too difficult to handle them.  But getting them out and changed was another struggle.  We were able to hang out in the yard outside the pool area after that with Max and Leora.

This is the only picture I got of Madison in her new $7 bathing suit

Max is getting so big!!
