It has only gotten easier for us since S&J were your kiddos' ages. The first big breakthrough was smiling where we got positive feedback. The next one was being able to put them down and entertain them without holding them. Next was being able to put them down and have them entertain themselves. And now they entertain each other! I know it'll be harder once they really start crawling, but they are so much fun now it makes it easy to be with them.
You are lucky. J&S were never good sleepers. We had a couple of nights where one or the other slept 6 - 8 hours around 4 months, but otherwise, lots of wake ups.
When S&J were tiny I used to read blogs of moms with older twins and look forward to what it would be like, so I'm glad to be like that for you. Believe me, the fun is just beginning.
