Snow!

Despite being born in a horrible snow storm, Madison and Jackson have only spent one time in the snow last year and they hated the entire 2 minutes.

This year wasn't much better.  On December 19th it started to snow and hard at 2 PM.  By the morning we had a good 12 inches.  Chris had a funeral to go to so he shoveled a path to the car then drove through the rest.  After he left I got the kids dressed up in whatever warm clothes I had for them.
Jackson was all set in his hand me down jacket, snowpants, and boots from Spencer.  He just didn't have mittens so he wore the ones that were attached to his snowsuit from last year.  The problem with them is that they kept falling off.  Jackson was more adventurous as far as deviating from the shoveled path so he took many more falls and really didn't like it when his hands made contact with the snow.

Jackson's size 12 month snowsuit fit Madison perfectly!  The only thing she didn't have was boots so she went out in sneakers.  She pretty much stood frozen in the path so it wasn't much of an issue.

In the above picture they could hear the neighbor snowblowing so they were both peering down the driveway.

I ended up making them walk all the way down our driveway to the main road and we walked up the sidewalk a bit.  The banks were so high I didn't have to worry about them going in the street.  Unfortunately neither of them wanted to walk back UP the driveway so I had to carry them both UPHILL in a foot of snow both ways...oh wait, I took that a little too far.

Raffe is coming over tomorrow for a few hours so I'm hoping to take them out again with him.

So Saturday it snowed all day though it was fairly light.  Sunday it snowed again and we easily got another 8 inches.  We drove to New Hampshire for a birthday party in the morning and the roads were just awful and they were even worse on the way back!  I'm glad we went though, it was a fun party.  On the way back home we stopped at my parents' house for a visit.
